NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Miami Dolphins made the only pick in Thursday's NFL supplemental draft, selecting Southern California defensive tackle Manuel Wright in the fifth round.

By choosing Wright, the Dolphins will forego their fifth-round pick in the 2006 NFL draft.

The supplemental draft was conducted by computer from NFL headquarters.

Wright played the last two years with USC after transferring from Long Beach City College. He had 23 tackles, two sacks and six tackles for losses last season.

The 6-6, 329-pound Wright held a workout for NFL scouts last month and bench-pressed 225 pounds 16 times.

USC won the national championship last season after winning a share of the title in 2003. Three defensive starters were selected from USC in the April draft - tackle Mike Patterson by Philadelphia in the first round, tackle Shaun Cody by Detroit in the second round and linebacker Lofa Tatupu by Seattle in the second round.
